Since closing our doors on 23rd March 2020,
we have all taken on new roles and different ways of working….
Myself and Caroline are working behind the scenes to enable the clinics to be ready to open, as soon as it is safe to do so. We are also assessing patients and advising on the best way to alleviate their pain through video consultations.
However not all the team are working from home.
Our team consist of physios who also work at local hospitals. So their normal role has altered from the usual face to face appointments in the out-patients departments.
Rebecca has been allocated a role performing telephone consultations rather than assessing patients in the shoulder clinic at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Her normal department now stores ICU beds, and also provides changing facilities for other staff.
She describes the hospital as a ‘strange place mixed with fear and pride.’
Jack is also performing virtual clinics in out-patients at his hospital, but also spending some time on the frontline in ICU treating COVID-19 patients
Danny , seen in the picture to the right (and in the cover photo with our ex-colleague Lynne) has been transferred from out-patients to ICU working in team turning COVID-19 patients. He has thankfully been provided with full PPE as seen in the photo of himself and Lynne.
Graeme has been keeping well and working behind the scenes providing advice videos.
See him here balancing on the gym ball!
Jacqui has been providing her patients with Pilates videos, accessed via YouTube.
Helen has been busy with her daytime job with the Police, and home schooling her 2 young boys.
So all our working lives have changed for now, but hopefully all our team and their families will stay safe and well….until we meet again.
